Job summary

APS Tech LLC in Wallingford, CT, is seeking a detail-oriented entry-level Mechanical QA Inspector to join the Quality Assurance team. This on-site role focuses on first-piece, in-process, receiving, and final inspections to ensure products meet specifications.

You will use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and related tools to verify dimensions and quality. Responsibilities include maintaining inspection records, preparing shipping documents, and assisting with loading/unloading materials.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of mechanical inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, height stands, verniers).
• CMM experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-piece, in-process, receiving, and final inspections to verify conformance to drawings and specs.
• Maintain inspection records and ensure documentation and certifications are complete before release.
• Prepare shipping documentation and assist with loading/unloading materials as needed.
• Occasionally make deliveries to customers or vendors and support housekeeping and other duties.
