Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a Mechanical Inspector for a well known Electronic Manufacturer in Suffolk County. You will inspect inhouse machined or purchased precision components, units, materials, and equipment.

Salary is $52,000-$73,000 per year, with first shift hours 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Requires a High School diploma and experience with precision measurement tools and GD&T. Posting open for 30 days; contact HRsupport@randstadusa.com for application details.

Qualifications

2 years of experience in mechanical inspection.
Experience inspecting components to drawings and customer specifications.
Familiar with GD&T and MIL-specs such as MIL-STD-883.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections of components to ensure compliance to drawings, customer specifications and workmanship standards.
Use precision measurement instruments such as a caliper, micrometer, and other required gauges.
Familiar with Optical Gaging Product (OGP) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) tests.
Understand different materials used in manufacturing (aluminum, brass, copper, etc.).
Understand tolerances and basic GD&T on blueprint drawings.
Visually inspect for workmanship and print compliance, using a microscope if needed.
Maintain inspection logs and records.
Familiar with Mil Specs IPC-A-610 and MIL-STD-883.
Additional tasks assigned by supervisor/manager.
