Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to safely assemble mechanical components from intake to shipment. The role requires reading blueprints, using hand tools, torque wrenches, and operating forklifts and overhead cranes within a manufacturing setting.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be able to work in a team while following safe work practices. Prior experience with mechanical systems and production documentation is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience using hand tools and operating forklifts.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to assemble mechanical components using hand tools, torque wrenches, and other equipment.
• Utilize forklifts, overhead cranes, and material handling equipment to transport components within the facility.
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting to identify and address issues during assembly and ensure proper documentation of corrective actions.
• Collaborate with team members to solve production challenges and meet daily targets.
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks and support engineering or electrical teams when needed.
• Maintain accurate production records, including parts assembled and quantities completed.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
