Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Durham, NH is seeking a Mechanical Assembly 3 team member to assemble and maintain high-quality products that meet engineering and safety standards. You will read blueprints, operate tools, perform quality checks, and support production with accurate material handling.

The role requires standing for up to 8 hours and lifting up to 40 lbs, with safety procedures and PPE mandatory. Onsite work with potential cross-training across teams.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED or vocational/technical education with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, or engineering drawings.
• Experience operating hand tools, measuring equipment, or light machinery.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specs, and BOMs to perform assembly tasks.
• Operate hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring devices and light machinery.
• Maintain inventory of products at workstations to support efficient production.
• Perform quality checks, identify defects, and document findings.
• Rework/repair assembled equipment per engineering changes and specs.
• Perform weekly preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure smooth operation.
• Adhere to safety procedures and keep a clean work area.
• Work in a standing position up to 8 hours/day and lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
