Job summary

Sun Technologies, Inc. in Oxnard, California is seeking a Manufacturing Technician on a contract basis for up to 12 months. The role involves setting up and calibrating equipment, performing rework and quality testing on parts, subassemblies, and final assemblies.

You will work with engineers to collect data, conduct on-line adjustments, and help develop methods to control or modify the manufacturing process. Attention to safety and tool handling is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years of related experience.
• Ability to read, write and follow English instructions.
• Lift/push/pull up to 40 pounds.
• Stand for extended hours and work flexible shifts.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Familiar with engineering drawings, torque and hand-tool safety.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate or assemble mechanical components for larger assemblies.
• Set up and test prototype units and subassemblies under operating conditions.
• Analyze data and modify components or test procedures to meet specs.
• Assist engineers in developing mechanical and electromechanical designs.
