Job summary

S&C Electric Company in Wisconsin is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Assembler to join our production team. You will assemble IntelliRupters at dedicated stations, perform mechanical assembly tasks, and ensure quality under time constraints.

The role requires basic shop math, ability to read assembly prints, and using hand and power tools. You will stand for long periods, lift up to 75 lbs with assistance, and operate overhead cranes if needed.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly operations.
• Ability to use basic shop math and measuring tools.
• Ability to use air impact tools and other hand-held tools.
• Ability to follow specific instructions and procedures and read assembly prints.

Responsibilities

• Assembling IntelliRupters at one of several stations, in sizes approximately 9' x 4' x 4'.
• Identifying, transporting, installing, mounting and bolting all switch components (5 lbs to over 25 lbs).
• Performing mechanical inspection using torque wrenches, screwdriver and tape measure.
• Using hand tools, power tools, gauges and instruments; operate overhead cranes if required.
