Qualifications

• High school diploma and some vocational/technical training preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide; work with decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.

Responsibilities

• Follows production drawings and instructions with supervision; performs mechanical assembly.
• Interprets schematics, drawings, and bills of material to identify parts and steps.
• Uses hand and power tools to perform fitting and assembly; inspects parts and performs basic tests.
• Tends machines like presses to perform fastening operations on the assembly line.
• Performs online go-not-go testing to ensure parts meet specifications.
