Job summary

Ring-O-Matic is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to build and test complex mechanical systems. You will read and interpret detailed drawings, align components, and use torque wrenches and precision tools to ensure high-precision assembly.

The role emphasizes hands-on skills, problem solving, and strict adherence to safety. Expect workload consistency with 5S practices and collaboration with engineers to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior experience in mechanical assembly, repair, or maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
• Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues during assembly or testing.
• Basic math and measurement skills, including the ability to use tape measures and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow detailed technical drawings and blueprints to assemble machinery and subassemblies with high precision.
• Perform fitting, alignment, and fastening of components using torque wrenches, calipers, and pneumatic tools.
• Conduct functional testing and troubleshooting to verify performance and diagnose issues.
• Handle and position heavy components up to 50 pounds or more using appropriate lifting methods.
• Operate machinery to test functionality and evaluate performance against specifications.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following safety protocols and using PPE.
• Support 5S workplace organization and propose process improvements for efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members and engineers to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Strive for productivity, quality, attendance, and safety with ongoing skill development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
