Job summary

Aerotek is hiring Mechanical Assemblers in Shakopee, MN for 1st shift. You will perform precision mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly in a climate-controlled facility, building components for medical, farm, and government applications.

Responsibilities include using hand and power tools, reading blueprints, testing assemblies, and ensuring quality. The role offers contract-to-hire with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of mechanical, electrical, or small-part assembly experience.
• Experience using hand and power tools in a manufacturing or assembly setting.
• Ability to read and follow SOP instructions on a computer.

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools to complete assembly operations.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and assembly documentation.
• Perform electrical and mechanical testing on completed assemblies.
• Inspect parts and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Operate testing equipment and record inspection results.
• Install wiring, coils, connectors, and other electrical components.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Follow safety procedures and company manufacturing standards.
• Work with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Package and prepare finished products for shipping when required.
• Keep workstations clean and organized using 5S.
