Job summary

JOA in Wisconsin is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to build and fit machine parts according to specifications. You will read entry-level blueprints, measure parts, and assemble components with precision in a fast-paced factory setting.

Responsibilities include using calipers and scales, operating overhead cranes, and handling equipment safely. You will keep work areas clean and cooperate with teams to meet deadlines; some painting prep and department housekeeping tasks are also required.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing instructions.
Basic math and measurement skills.
Experience with hand tools and machine tools (drill press, band saw, grinder).
Good oral and written communication; works well in a team.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally is a plus.

Responsibilities

Reads and follows blueprints, shop orders, and specifications to build parts and equipment.
Measures parts accurately using scales, micrometers, and calipers.
Operate overhead crane and rigging procedures.
Operate material handling equipment.
Maintains a clean work area.
