Job summary

Marlen, headquartered in Riverside, MO, is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to produce high-quality machines across product lines by following schematics and blueprints. You will assemble components, perform wiring tasks, and conduct quality checks to meet specifications in a safety-conscious, organized environment.

The role requires 3+ years of assembly experience, ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / Equivalency preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years machine assembly experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Proficient in the safe use of hand tools and power tools.
• Familiarity with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems preferred.
• Previous experience operating overhead cranes, ladders, aerial lifts, and powered industrial equipment preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation and machine interface.
• Quick learner with strong problem-solving skills; adaptable to change and committed to continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey information and collaborate with team members.
• Must be available for overtime, including occasional weekends, based on production demands.

Responsibilities

• Assemble machines and components using hand tools and power tools.
• Interpret schematics, blueprints, assembly instructions, and bills of materials.
• Position and align parts manually or with hoists/forklifts.
• Assist with wiring assemblies and machinery.
• Perform quality control inspections to verify specifications and resolve issues.
• Maintain tools and work area to safety and cleanliness standards.
• Prepare work by reviewing parts lists and gathering materials.
• Inspect equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions.
