Job summary

Xylem in Pueblo, Colorado is seeking an assembler to perform repetitive plumbing and mechanical assembly of in-house standard products on site. You will follow detailed assembly and test instructions, handle hand and power tools, and maintain a clean, safe work area while ensuring accurate documentation of production activities.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement through 5S practices, with opportunities to grow within a global water-technology leader.

Responsibilities

• Receives components or items for assembly and/or test in programmed sequence
• Assembles mechanical or electrical components by means of sensitive hand and equipment coordination
• Assembles all variations of in-house standard products
• Follows assembly/test instructions, e.g. color code, pvc solvent welding and thread taping
• Uses simple hand or power tools along with uncomplicated jigs and fixtures
• Enter work hours in ERP system (Currently SAP), if applicable to site
• Completes required documentation relative to production and quality
• Drives continuous improvement process and conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities.
• May read and interpret blueprints (product specific)
• Maintains equipment and area in a clean safe condition
