Job summary

Xylem is hiring an Assembler to build and fabricate defect‑free parts per written processes in the assigned value stream. The role requires teamwork with Team Leaders, Product Planners, and Material Coordinators to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Experience with hand tools is required or preferred.
• Production or assembly background is preferred.
• Must have good hand‑eye coordination skills.
• Must be able to read and understand written processes.
• Basic math and measurement skills are required.
• Good communication skills are required.
• Must have attention to detail.
• Soldering skills are preferred but not required.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be willing to follow all written and implied policies.
• Flexible forty‑hour week with possible overtime for seasonal demands.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, build, and/or fabricate parts per written processes.
• Collaborate with Team Leaders, Product Planners, and Material Coordinators to meet delivery requirements.
• Assemble pieces, parts, or whole components.
• Hand solder components.
• Measure and epoxy components.
• Work with manufacturing engineering to resolve problems and improve processes.
• Keep work area clean and organized per 5/6S standards.
• Follow open shop order reports and ISO standards.
• Mentor new manufacturing employees as needed.
• Serve as a manufacturing cell’s point person when needed.
• Attend training as required and participate in company programs.
