Job summary

ComSonics in Virginia seeks a Mechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble and test mechanical components and subassemblies per engineering drawings and specifications, using hand tools and calibrating where required.

You will read blueprints, perform quality checks, troubleshoot issues, document results, and maintain a clean, safe work area while supporting process improvements and ensuring on-time production targets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and other assembly equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Perform quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
• Assist with the development and improvement of assembly processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
