Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a Meat Department Associate to join the Hanover location. You will greet customers, assist with orders, and prepare meat and seafood items for daily needs.

Maintain safety and sanitation standards while handling knives and cutting equipment, and support stock and tagging to ensure accuracy. This role involves standing for long periods, lifting, and possibly assisting other departments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED plus 2 years' retail experience.
• Commitment to safety and sanitation in accordance with company and state/federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Follows department procedures for receiving, unloading shipments and stocking products.
• Greets and takes orders from customers.
• Cuts, trays, and packages meat and seafood products for the day.
• Uses safe cutting practices and mesh gloves when handling knives.
• Assists in back stock and ensures tags match products during pre-inventory prep.
• May assist in other departments as needed.
