Job summary

Plat du Jour Inc is hiring a Production Packer Associate to support daily packaging and finished product operations in a high-safety food manufacturing setting. You will pack, label, and inspect meals, ensure presentation quality, and maintain efficient packing stations under supervision of the Production Manager.

Ideal candidates bring a sharp eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and pride in consistent, accurate packing across every product. Training on PDJ standards is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food production, packaging, or commercial kitchen environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with emphasis on portion, label accuracy, and packaging integrity.
• Food Handler certification preferred or obtainable within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Portion ingredients into meal trays or bags per packaging specs.
• Verify product meets appearance, weight, and packaging standards before fulfillment.
• Apply accurate labels with SKU, date, and allergen info.
• Maintain clean, organized packing station and meet throughput targets.
• Communicate material shortages, equipment issues, or quality concerns to supervisor.
• Support line setup, changeovers, and sanitation tasks per SOPs.
• Assist with staging finished goods for shipping and handoff to fulfillment.
