Total Staffing Solutions in Batavia, IL is seeking an experienced Mazak Machinist to set up and operate Mazak CNC centers, producing precision aluminum components to tight tolerances.

The ideal candidate has strong CNC setup skills, reads blueprints, performs first-piece and in-process inspections, and can troubleshoot machining issues while maintaining safety and quality standards on a fast-paced shop floor.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience, preferably on Mazak equipment.
• Experience with Mazatrol controls and CNC setup preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience machining aluminum castings or similar metal components.
• Proficient in using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other inspection equipment.
• Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and machining processes.
• Knowledge of GD&T is a plus.
• Crane and forklift experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Mazak CNC machining centers.
• Machine aluminum components per drawings.
• Load/unload parts and materials safely.
• Perform tool changes and offsets.
• Read blueprints and specifications.
• Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, bore gauges.
• Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
• Deburr and finish machined parts as required.
• Troubleshoot machining and quality issues and correct.
• Maintain production records and required documentation.
• Follow safety, quality and housekeeping standards.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and machine upkeep.
