Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks laboratory technicians to turn field samples into data through Proctor curves, sieve analyses, Atterberg limits, moisture contents, and compressive strength tests. You will work within an AASHTO R18–based quality system with calibrated equipment and full accountability for every result produced in the lab.

Pay ranges from $25 to $35 per hour with overtime during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Careful hands and clean documentation habits.
• Prior lab or CMT experience a plus, but training is provided.
• Comfortable with repetitive precision work.

Responsibilities

• Perform ASTM testing as listed in the ad.
• Maintain calibration, standardization, and quality records.
• Log samples and preserve chain of custody.
• Break cylinders and report strength results same day.
• Support proficiency sample programs and accreditation assessments.
