Construction Material Testing is seeking a Laboratory Technician to transform field samples into precise numerical data within a documented AASHTO R18 quality system.

You will perform standardized tests, maintain calibration, log samples, and ensure chain of custody, breaking cylinders and reporting results promptly. Training is provided, with a clear path toward proficiency and potential advancement.

Qualifications

• Careful hands, clean documentation habits, mechanical aptitude.
• Prior lab or CMT experience a plus, not required — we train.
• Comfortable with repetitive precision work done right every time.

Responsibilities

• Perform ASTM D698, D1557, D2216, D4318, C136, and C39 testing
• Maintain calibration, standardization, and quality records
• Log samples and preserve chain of custody
• Break cylinders and report strength results same day
• Support proficiency sample programs and accreditation assessments
