Job summary

Smiths Group in the United States is seeking a marking operator to identify materials and assemblies using Electro-Etch, Laser, Vibro-Peen, Dot-Peen, and Ink marking methods. You will read engineering drawings, factory orders, and routers to determine marking requirements and ensure accuracy.

Responsibilities include barcode scanning, transferring ink markings, assembling aluminum and stainless tags, and applying shrink sleeves as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• Duties involve reading engineering drawings, factory orders, and routers to determine marking requirements.

Responsibilities

• Understand marking requirements from drawings, orders and routers.
• Use marking methods (Electro-Etch, Laser, Vibro-Peen, Dot-Peen, Ink) to identify materials and assemblies.
• Barcode scan or enter identification requirements.
• Transfer ink markings onto parts.
• Pre-form aluminum tags and apply them to components.
• Assemble stainless tags onto hoses and tubes and shrink sleeves as needed.
• Stand, walk, and use hands regularly; lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
