Job summary

Anchor Bay Powder Coat in Michigan is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support production by preparing, loading, coating, and inspecting parts across the manufacturing process.

You will work on 1st or 2nd shift, follow safety policies, assist with coating and finishing, read work orders, and maintain quality through documentation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, warehouse, coating, painting, blasting, or material handling preferred.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Experience in ISO 9001 or AS9100 environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for processing through cleaning, masking, plugging, and staging activities.
• Load and unload parts, materials, and products onto racks, hooks, conveyors, carts, and other production equipment.
• Operate production equipment and tools as trained and assigned.
• Assist with blasting, painting, powder coating, curing, and finishing processes.
• Read and follow work orders, production schedules, process instructions, and quality requirements.
• Inspect products and components to ensure compliance with customer and quality standards.
• Accurately complete required production documentation and records.
• Identify and report quality issues, equipment concerns, safety hazards, or production delays.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work effectively with supervisors and teammates to meet production goals and delivery schedules.
• Participate in problem-solving activities and recommend process improvements.
• Cross-train and perform duties in multiple departments as business needs require.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
