Technique is seeking a 2nd Shift Powder Coat Technician for our Jackson, Michigan facility. You will prep parts, apply powder coat and other finishes, operate coating equipment, and ensure on-time quality. The role requires safety-first practices and the ability to work with ERP systems and production documentation.

You will inspect finished parts, troubleshoot defects, and support continuous improvement while maintaining a clean, safe work environment and complying with company standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated experience in powder coating, paint shop operations, or manufacturing.
• Ability to understand basic mechanical and manufacturing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and follow safety procedures.
• Prepare parts for coating and perform surface prep.
• Apply coating techniques including powder coat, wet spray, Cerakote, hydro dip.
• Operate coating equipment and lift truck.
• Inspect painted product and complete quality documentation.
• Troubleshoot defects and monitor equipment for quality.
