Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ manufacturing engineering experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Strong analytical, organizational and project coordination skills.
• Experience creating and maintaining clear technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on engineering support to resolve tooling, equipment, materials and process performance issues.
• Develop, document and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
• Establish and maintain production methods, operation sequences, tooling requirements, setup instructions and process parameters.
• Prepare and maintain manufacturing routings, work instructions, setup sheets and other controlled production documents.
• Evaluate engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements for manufacturability.
• Support CNC machining, Swiss turning and other manufacturing operations as needed.
• Design or specify fixtures, tooling, gauges and manufacturing aids.
• Evaluate equipment capabilities and capacity for improvements.
• Prepare cost justifications for tooling and capital equipment investments.
• Identify critical process variables and establish controls for quality.
