Job summary

You will analyze drawings, specs, and POs, assess feasibility of sheet metal fabrication, tolerances, and materials, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into production plans. You’ll evaluate profitability by labor, tooling, and material costs, ensuring quality and traceability across the program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Proven experience applying engineering principles in a technical manufacturing or defense environment.
• Strong proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to assess the impact of quality standards on production workflows.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on risk assessment and cost-benefit analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze technical documentation, including blueprints, statements of work, and purchase orders, to ensure full alignment with internal capabilities.
• Assess the feasibility of manufacturing processes, focusing on sheet metal fabrication, tolerances, and material specifications.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks related to quality, compliance, and production schedules before project initiation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into actionable production plans and technical requirements.
• Evaluate the profitability of incoming projects by analyzing labor, tooling, and material cost drivers.
• Ensure seamless flow-down of critical quality and traceability requirements to internal departments and supply chain partners.
• Resolve technical conflicts or ambiguities in customer specifications to maintain project momentum and operational efficiency.
