Qualifications

• Typically 1–2 years of machinist experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Experience with manual lathes, mills, grinders.
• Ability to perform machine setups and adjust tooling.
• Strong math and computer skills.
• Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
• Adaptable to changing workloads and new tasks.
• Able to work a regular 40-hour schedule, with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and drills with proper setups.
• Read and interpret drawings and setup sheets.
• Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and dial indicators to inspect parts.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform preventive maintenance.
• Document production and inspection data and report deviations.
• Safely operate facility equipment and maintain safety standards.
