Job summary

Blaze Equipment Rental, LLC. is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and a CNC plasma-cutting table in Fort Worth, TX.

You will work from blueprints and samples to determine methods, tooling, speeds, and sequence, producing precise components for heavy equipment and tooling. The role requires 3+ years of hands-on machining experience, the ability to read mechanical drawings, and proficiency with precision measurement tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience operating manual lathes and milling machines in a machine shop or similar environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, interpret dimensions and tolerances, and use precision measuring instruments.
• Experience producing replacement parts or repairing components is preferred.
• Experience operating a CNC plasma-cutting table preferred; ability to learn approved software and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, drill presses, saws, and related equipment.
• Select tools, fixtures, and workholding; determine speeds, feeds, and depth of cut.
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Read blueprints and perform in-process and final inspections using precision instruments.
• Set up CNC plasma table, inspect cut parts, and verify dimensions before advancing to next operation.
• Maintain a clean, orderly shop and ensure safety compliance according to OSHA standards.
