Sealed Air Corporation in Streetsboro, Ohio, is seeking a Manual Machinist for a morning shift (Mon-Fri, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM). You will operate lathes, milling machines, and grinders, reading blueprints and specs to produce precise parts while maintaining safety and quality in a busy plant.

Responsibilities include setup, tool selection, measurement with micrometers/calipers, and collaboration with engineering and QA teams to ensure tolerance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience in operating manual machining equipment preferred.
• Strong understanding of machining techniques, materials, and tooling.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate manual machine tools to produce high-quality parts.
• Read blueprints and work orders to determine machining operations and setup.
• Select tools, speeds, feeds, and cutting parameters for each job.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure specifications.
• Maintain records of work completed and any deviations.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and safe.
• Troubleshoot issues and adjust processes as needed.
• Adhere to PPE and safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality control to meet specs.
