Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Manual Machinist in Davenport to join our client’s shop. You will set up and operate manual lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and other machine shop equipment to produce precision metal components.

The role requires reading blueprints, selecting tooling, determining speeds and feeds, inspecting parts with micrometers and calipers, and working safely in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with manual machining equipment and processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to use micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work safely and independently in an industrial machine shop environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and other machine shop equipment.
• Manufacture, repair, and modify precision metal components to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining specifications.
• Select appropriate tooling and determine proper speeds, feeds, and machining methods.
• Machine parts to specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
