Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual machine tools to produce accurate parts.
• Machine parts to precise dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform layout work directly from blueprints, sketches, and templates.
• Calculate dimensions, tapers, feeds, speeds, and overall machining requirements before cutting.
• Make and repair as required to support production and maintenance needs.
• Dismantle, assemble, align, and repair plant equipment with care and accuracy.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, levels, and protractors to verify quality.
• Operate cranes and mobile equipment safely when lifting or moving workpieces.
• Complete all required reports and documentation to close out each job.
