FTC USA is seeking a Manual Lathe Operator in Los Angeles, CA to set up and operate manual lathes, perform turning and finishing, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances. You will read blueprints, install tooling, adjust speeds and feeds, and perform test runs to verify setup.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1+ year of general production machining experience, with preference for experience in close-tolerance work and independent problem-solving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of general production machining experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate manual lathes for turning, drilling, threading and finishing.
• Install and secure tooling, collets, tool holders and indexing mechanisms.
• Adjust tooling clearances, speeds, feeds and timing to meet tolerances.
• Perform test runs and correct setup as needed.
• Monitor processes and maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and regulate cutting oil flow.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
• Produce conforming parts from blueprints and work instructions.
• Inspect finished components with precision measuring equipment.
