Job summary

Check-Mate Industries, Inc. seeks an Assembler/Packer to handle assembly, packing, and inspection of firearm magazines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will follow safety procedures, meet quality standards, and support lean initiatives.

Responsibilities include assembling components, inspecting parts for defects, recording accurate quantities, and assisting with KAIZEN and 7S efforts to maintain organized work areas.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED.
• 0-3 years of manufacturing experience and/or small part assembly.
• Fine motor dexterity to maintain quality and productivity.
• Basic problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills; conflict resolution skills.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to multitask, adaptable, and an analytical thinker.
• Able to utilize Micrometers, gauges, and other hand tools for measuring and inspecting.
• Able to read and follow instructions outlined in production documents.

Responsibilities

• Assembles parts to create firearm magazines.
• Positions parts together following guides such as holes, edges, and prongs.
• Rivets, bolts, or screws parts together using appropriate tools.
• Inspects assembled parts for quality and accuracy.
• Tests, calibrates, and fits parts to meet tolerances and specifications.
• Identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repairs as necessary.
• Maintains a high level of safety in the assembly area.
• Maintains documentation of quantities and records.
• Communicates with line leads and assemblers at shift change.
• Supports LEAN activities and KAIZEN in the assembly area.
