Responsibilities

• Plan and perform rough and finish turning, drilling, tapping, boring, facing, recessing, thread cutting and similar machining operations on shafts, housings, heads, and parts of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
• Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments like micrometers.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematical knowledge and instruments such as micrometers and Vernier calipers.
• Interpret and analyze blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate implementation of operational sequence.
• Set up, adjust, and operate basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations.
• Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the process.
• Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas and equipment, report and correct unsafe practices or conditions.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Multi-task various duties and maintain a positive attitude with versatility.
• Communicate with teams to solve problems independently.
