Job summary

BW Papersystems, part of Barry-Wehmiller, is seeking an entry-level Machine Operator to operate saws, a brake press, overhead cranes, and other tools to produce parts per drawings and specs.

You will set up tools, adjust speeds, and measure finished parts for accuracy, while handling inventory and following safety procedures. A high school diploma is required; reading a tape measure is essential; 1 year of machine operation is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Willingness to operate various machine tools and cranes.

Responsibilities

• Operate saws for structural steel and a brake press for bending metal
• Read blueprints, route sheets, and job orders to determine setups
• Set cutting speeds, feed rates, and depths of cuts
• Measure parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Track inventory and handle material receiving and storage
• Follow safety procedures throughout all projects
