Job summary

Copper State Bolt & Nut Co. is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist / Tool & Die Machinist to join our Phoenix manufacturing team. Set up and operate manual lathes and mills, read blueprints, and produce prototype and low-volume parts with tight tolerances.

Qualifications

Experience with manual lathes and mills.
Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
Strong understanding of machining practices and precision measurement.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate conventional manual lathes, mills, surface grinders, and other tool room equipment.
Manufacture prototype and low-volume precision parts from blueprints and sketches.
Maintain tight tolerances of ±.001" while producing high-quality components.
Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, comparators, and other precision measuring tools.
Repair, modify, and fabricate tooling to support manufacturing operations.
Collaborate with production and engineering to solve machining challenges.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
