Job summary

Hupp Electric Motors in Marion, IA is seeking a Machinist to operate CNC and manual machines, read blueprints, and maintain high precision parts for our retail manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities include setup, monitoring, troubleshooting, and collaborating with engineers to meet tight tolerances. Prior CNC experience and relevant education are preferred; Overtime on weekends may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with CNC and manual machining equipment.
• Associate's degree in machining technology or related field.
• Experience in retail trade industry or similar manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with CAD software and programming CNC machines.
• Completion of a machinist apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC or manual machine equipment including lathes, mills and grinders to produce parts per specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand tolerances.
• Monitor machine operations and adjust for quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools for longevity.
• Collaborate with team to troubleshoot machining issues and minimize downtime.
