Job summary

AdvanSix in Virginia is seeking a skilled Journeyman Machinist/Millwright to maintain and repair plant production equipment, including turbines, pumps, gearboxes, and conveyors. Proficiency with dial indicators, laser alignment, and precision machining is required. You will read blueprints, set up tools, and ensure parts meet tolerances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Licensed Journeyman-level Millwright or state-certified apprenticeship preferred.
• 5 years of industrial machine maintenance experience required.

Responsibilities

• Overhauling, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant equipment (turbines, fans, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors).
• Use dial indicators and laser alignment; read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Set up tools, machine parts to specifications, and verify tolerances with precision instruments.
