Qualifications

• Technical training, machining certification, or apprenticeship preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with CNC machining, programming, or setup preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Working knowledge of GD&T.
• Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.
• Strong math, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools such as CNC mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machine settings to achieve required tolerances and quality standards.
• Measure and inspect completed parts using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators.
• Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and perform minor repairs or adjustments as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery and equipment.
• Maintain accurate production records and document quality inspections.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, quality, and production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices and an organized work area.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Group Leader.
• Work overtime as required to support business needs.
