Job summary

McCorkle Machine & Engineering in Huntington, WV is seeking a full-time Machinist to set up and operate manual and CNC machines to meet exact specifications, interpret blueprints, select tooling, and document processes.

You will inspect parts, maintain tight tolerances, assist with tooling and maintenance, comply with safety rules, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

Candidates must be able to read blueprints and interpret drawings.
Experience operating manual and CNC machines and selecting proper tooling.
Strong measurement and inspection using precision tools to verify tolerances.
Knowledge of basic machine maintenance and shop safety practices.
Attention to detail and problem-solving to maintain quality standards.
Effective teamwork and communication in a production environment.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate manual and CNC machines to produce parts to exact specifications.
Interpret blueprints, tolerances, and technical drawings.
Select tools, materials, and machining methods; adjust machine parameters as needed.
Measure and inspect finished components to ensure accuracy.
Document work according to company standards and safety rules.
Maintain equipment, conduct routine maintenance, and follow safety protocols.
