Job summary

BW Packaging is seeking an experienced Machinist to join our team in Ohio. The Machinist will set up, operate, and maintain manual and CNC machinery to produce precision metal and plastic components for our packaging systems.

You will ensure parts meet exact specifications, support efficient production flow, and collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve issues while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of related experience.
• Certificate or degree in Machine Tool Technology or related field with 2+ years machinist experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform machining activities including milling, turning, drilling, tapping and boring on precision components.
• Select proper tools, materials, and speeds/feeds to optimize the machining process.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments.
• Work from drawings, specifications, and instructions to determine tooling and sequences.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.
