Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a machine shop or related manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical engineered drawings.
• Familiarity with measuring equipment and tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting and manage time effectively to meet production deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
• Ability to lift 35lbs from floor to workbench.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate both CNC and manual machining equipment, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to produce high-quality and tight tolerances components.
• Conduct in-process quality checks throughout the machining process to ensure components meet company standards and specifications.
• Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure product specifications are met.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to maintain optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiencies within the machine shop.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.
• Assist in inventory management for tooling and materials used in the machining process.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
