Job summary

Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, has an opening for a Precision Machine Operator on 2nd shift in the Milling department. The role is full-time, Monday-Thursday with possible Friday work based on workloads, in our Chesterton, Indiana facility. Starting pay is $29.18/hour plus a 5% shift differential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret engineering prints and notes.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual or CNC machine tools to machine parts from castings, forgings, fabricated parts, and bar stock.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify and document inspections.
• Inspects and documents tolerances from engineering prints throughout the run.
• Thoroughly cleans and deburrs parts per Urschel specification.
