Job summary

Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a Precision Grinder for day shift work in Chesterton, IN. This full-time role may require Saturday work based on workloads and offers a climate-controlled environment for manufacturing cutting equipment used globally.

Starting pay is $31.81/hour. Benefits include ESOP, health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with matching, paid holidays, education reimbursement, and access to an onsite health clinic and gym.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–2 years related experience and/or training with a high school education or equivalent.
• Familiarity with FANUC controls; Studer and Agathon experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC precision grinding machines to grind carbide, stainless steel, and bronze parts to specified dimensions.
• Balance a variety of parts.
• Select, mount, attach and calibrate different grinding wheels for cylindrical and flat grinding.
