Job summary

KiddeFenwal, LLC is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our second-shift manufacturing team in Ashland, MA. You will set up and operate lathes and mills, read blueprints, and perform CNC work to tight tolerances on critical components used in fire protection systems.

The role requires precision, adherence to safety, and the ability to program and adjust machines as needed. Experience with CAD/CAM and a strong detail focus are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, route sheets, and specifications.
• Proficiency in GD&T and precision measurement for tolerances.
• Experience with machine tools or mechanical assembly and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathes and milling machines.
• Review drawings and prove-out production parts.
• Perform CNC machining including setup, milling, turning, and close-tolerance work.
• Take precise measurements and set machine parameters.
• Program and operate manual, semi-automated, or automated machines.
• Use precision tools for accurate measurement and inspection.
• Maintain safe, clean workstation and assist with routine maintenance.
• Monitor operations and adjust feeds or settings as needed.
• Maintain inventory of completed components and support team tasks.
