Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a machining operator in our Benton, AR facility. The role involves loading programs, setting up inspection equipment, and ensuring parts meet print specifications.

You will perform basic machine maintenance, support continuous improvement, and maintain a clean, organized work area. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of machining experience, plus reading blueprints and inspection tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year manufacturing/machining experience.
• Basic Math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Read inspection equipment (caliper, micrometer, indicial, bore gauge, scale, tape measure).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Load program from computer; understand basic programming; basic M&G codes.
• Set up inspection equipment and fixtures; manage parts.
• Check all dimensions against print.
• Perform basic deburring and housekeeping tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the area.
• Perform basic machine maintenance (oil, coolant, greasing).
• Support continuous improvement to reduce defects and monitor yields.
• Communicate equipment problems and setup issues to supervision.
