Job summary

Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation seeks skilled assemblers to install, assemble, and align heavy machinery at our facility. You will join a team building foundations, mounting components, testing units, and ensuring precise alignment. The role involves lifting and handling large parts, operating hand and power tools, and working across shifts.

Candidates must be 18+, be a U.S. citizen, and able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
Must be a U.S. person.
Able to work at heights.
Able to work in confined and enclosed spaces.
Able to work in inclement weather conditions.
Available to work all 3 shifts as required.

Responsibilities

Install machinery using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
Assemble machines and fasten to foundations with tools and power tools.
Move machinery with hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
Dismantle machinery for shipment and participate in installation and maintenance.
Construct foundations and install components, align and test units.
Level bedplates and set centerlines with measuring tools.
Layout mounting holes and drill using power drills.
Position steel beams to support bedplates per drawings.
Connect power units to machines and test the system.
Replace defective parts and maintain lubrication of equipment.
Signal crane operators to align assembly units.
Align machines using hoists, jacks, and precision instruments.
Assemble moving parts to basic units and bolt parts together.
