Job summary

Kelly Services in Farmington, CT is seeking a Machine Assembly Technician on a Temp to Perm basis. The role involves assembling high-precision machinery, following engineering drawings, and ensuring quality and performance.

You will use torque wrenches, dial indicators, depth gauges, and digital levels to meet tight tolerances, read imperial and metric measurements, and collaborate with the team in a Lean environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of assembly experience or 5+ years in manufacturing, machine build, maintenance, or service.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and simple schematics.
• Experience using precision measuring tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Electrical wiring assembly experience is a plus.
• Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
• Basic computer literacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components according to engineering drawings and parts lists.
• Use precision tools to achieve tight tolerances and ensure quality.
• Utilize fixtures and proper assembly techniques for accuracy and consistency.
• Operate overhead cranes to move heavy components safely.
• Read and work in imperial and metric measurement systems.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas following Lean (5S) principles.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE at all times.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
• Contribute to continuous improvement with feedback and ideas.
