Mobile Staff Solutions in Lakeland, FL is seeking a dependable Machine Shop Assembler / Core Technician to manufacture and assemble custom metal components.

This hands-on role requires operating manual shop equipment, inspecting parts, and MIG welding; on-the-job training is provided. You’ll read drawings, set up machines, monitor quality, and work with a team to meet production goals. Schedule: Mon–Thu 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., occasional Friday overtime. Competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and related equipment.
• Perform tooling changes, machine calibration, and routine cleaning.
• Adjust machine settings, including speed and feed rates.
• MIG weld metal components and assemblies.
• Inspect parts using tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
• Read and follow production instructions, engineering drawings, and manuals.
• Monitor production quality and identify defects or mistakes.
• Troubleshoot equipment or production issues during the shift.
• Maintain accurate material and production records.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality-control standards.
• Work closely with team members to meet production goals.
