Job summary

New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc. in Peterborough, NH, is seeking a Set-Up technician to efficiently set up machinery and produce components to spec. You will train Operators, assist peers, and minimize downtime while following standard procedures and quality requirements.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, 2+ years manufacturing experience, and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. OSHA safety rules are mandatory.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years manufacturing experience.
• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple machines to produce parts per drawings.
• Set up standard product within a machine subgroup and adjust tooling/speeds.
• Use measuring tools to set up equipment and check work; review calibration.
• Perform first article verification when required.
• Train new hires and assist team to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and report issues; maintain records and improve efficiencies.
• Operate automation equipment and perform minor troubleshooting.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and comply with OSHA regulations.
• Move materials and containers as needed.
