Job summary

Peugeot Sport (Stellantis Motorsport) is seeking a skilled Machine Repair tradesman to diagnose defects and service a range of machines and equipment in a manufacturing setting. You will disassemble, repair, replace parts, and reassemble to operating condition, performing precision machining as needed to rebuild and recondition gear trains and bearings.

The role requires reading layouts and blueprints, followed by testing repaired systems to verify safe operation.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Apprenticeship-like training or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of combined machine repair experience or 5 years plus 3 in related trade.
• Ability to work any shift and overtime including weekends/holidays.
• Basic math, algebra and physics knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects in operations and machines.
• Disassemble, repair, replace parts and reassemble to operating condition.
• Perform layout, machining and mechanical operations for tearing down, rebuilding and reconditioning equipment.
• Reline spindles and shafts, scrape and fit bearings, repair valves, solenoids and cylinders.
• Ensure machinery is functioning safely and inspect tests after repairs.
