Job summary

Methode Electronics is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to support production needs in our United States facility. You will set up and change over machines, run first-time setups for new products, and adjust equipment to meet specifications while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, interpret drawings, and communicate in English. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 1–2 years of experience on production equipment, or equivalent training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2+ years of experience setting up and operating machines, or may need 0 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.
• Must have ability to read and interpret blueprints or drawings.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine set-up/changeover to produce the required product or components by making mechanical adjustments to meet product specifications.
• Perform first time set-up of equipment for new products through programming, profiling, and mechanical/ software adjustments.
• Operate equipment to achieve production requirements and quality goals. Make minor adjustments to correct machine output as needed.
• Perform manual production operations as required, e.g., apply labels, place components, load and unload equipment.
• Visually inspect machine output to verify proper assembly and workmanship standards are being met.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activities in accordance with machine operation manual or maintenance work instruction.
• Maintain neat and orderly work areas and comply with all safety rules
• Other duties as assigned
